FAQs
What do volunteers do?
Many of the jobs involve setting up venues, helping vendors/presenters get their things into the venue, beautification of the sites, checking people in, keeping a happy, warm, welcoming vibe while answering attendee questions, taking intiative to trouble-shoot and solve problems that you can solve, or involve me as needed. Anything related to day-of set-up and execution of the event.
Before the fest, we’ll be hanging posters, engaging with social media, spreading the word about this great event, maybe even reaching out to local business to get donations for giveaways… and there’s probably more that we just don’t know about yet and can’t predict!
What do we get for volunteering?
Community, fun, festival connection!
You also get:
a free pass to the festival for each day you volunteer
opportunity to buy merch at our cost
Access to add-on tickets for adventures happening outside your assigned shift times
an immersive experience you’ll never forget!
a way to deepen your yoga practice through self-less service, seva
Our unending gratitude!
How will I know what I'm supposed to do?
Assignments will be made in a couple of ways: 1) via Sched.com, which houses all schedule information, you may have your name attached to a session - that means you’re assigned to check-in participants, greet attendees and help place their mats, answer questions, ensure bags and shoes are left in the designated area… generally support and trouble-shoot that session. 2) via group text chat for day-of set up tasks and for unforseen things that come up. Group text and this site will also share opportunities to help before the event, over the next few months. 3) and via your TEAM… more on Teams at our March zoom meeting, stay tuned.
If you have questions about what you’re supposed ot do, please ask me! We’ll meet again closer to the fest to talk in greater depth.
How do I get my pass?
As soon as you know for sure what days you’ll be volunteering (June 11-14, for two days, three days or all four),
go to the Get Your Pass page on the website and use promo code “volunteer” to issue the pass for the number of days you’ll be volunteering
try to do this before Feb. 28, when the schedule drops and attendees start registering for their sessions
What if I’m not able to help with something you’ve asked us for help with?
That’s fine! Just find something else to help with!
This is a volunteer role, and you’re not expected to complete tasks you’re not comfortable with, and everyone is has a different comfort level — it’s up to you.
We just ask that you find another way to help so the festival still has the benefit of your volunteer support. For example, in 2024, a volunteer offered to make the cute tanks we sold and staff the booth to sell them, for the entire event. It was an amazing contribution that she was comfortable with and wanted to do. No other volunteer would’ve been able (or expected) to do that.
In 2022, our first festival, a volunteer mentioned, when I asked her to help me set up the tents, that she couldn’t reach her arms overhead. So instead she went to the store and bought flowers (which I’d forgotten to get). She was reimbursed. But not everyone could have done this. The contribution you make will be different from everyone else, we just ask that you make a contribution.

Update March 3
What you can expect as a volunteer: 1) Volunteers will be grouped into TEAMS — based on your function, what you’ll be doing at the festival. For example, Hospitality Team, A/V Team, Behind the Scenes Team, Social Team, etc. Full details will be shared at our late-March meeting. Stay tuned for save-the date-for that. 2) Put on your calendar now: Work Session & Training starting 6:30pm on Wednesday, June 11th. This will be mandatory for volunteers.
CALLS FOR HELP February 13th
ASAP: Local yoga teacher Alison Starr will be leading some guided cold plunges in the river for the festival. We’d like to feature this session on the 2026 festival webpage along with photos. Do we have a volunteer who could coordinate meeting her at the river and taking some photos (your iphone is fine). Text me (Angela : ) if you’re interested and I’ll give you her cell phone number to coordinate. If you have photog experience, even better, but not necessarily required!
ONGOING: Know a great local Bend business? Please feel free to ask them for a donation that we can use in giveaways that will happen at the first session of each day of the festival. Think candles, gift card to Athleta, tasty treat made by local businesses, anything that’s small (most attendees are from out of state and can’t pack large items), lovely, and supportive of yoga and yogic living.
UPDATE February 13th
1) Please save the link to the page on your phone by bookmarking and making an icon, if you feel called. Once volunteer spots are filled, I won’t include the link in every text. Thanks! It saves me time and every minute matters. : )
2) Remember to issue yourself your festival pass, once you’re certain of the days you’ll be volunteering — get the 2-, 3-, or 4-day pass the aligns with how many days you’ll be working the fest. (Go to “GET YOUR PASS”, enter promo code VOLUNTEER, choose the pass that matches the days you’re available.)
3) The fest schedule drops 2/28, and if you have your pass you can register for sessions then.
4) Once you’ve issued your pass, that will tell me which days I can assign you tasks. Each volunteer will be in Sched as a “Volunteer” and you may see yourself assigned to session(s). That means you’re assigned to the session for check-in, and general support (you’ll get more info about this in June). Remember: issuing your pass tells me what days you’re available, so please do that as soon as you’re 100% committed!
