More Love for the Festival

I was on the fence about attending alone. I almost went back home after being in the parking lot. But I just took this step down into the festival area and relief just washed over me! My time there was so calm and peaceful. I felt so loved and accepted. It truly felt judgment free.

— L.B.

The opening ceremony was perfect with the theme of "You Are Welcome Here.” Loved it. Also the mountain biking adventure was spectacular.

— K.P.

I loved every minute of it! Can’t wait for next year!

  • Great question! The Yoga + Hike + Brew session at Smith Rock has a $29 add-on ticket required to cover the costs of permitting, beverages, and to ensure the highly-trained guides are tipped appropriately. This session, booked outside the festival, is $110; we’re deeply grateful to our friends Khrya and Cody at Wildland Guiding for agreeing to share this offering at the fest. The fee honors the time, energy and love they put into this offering. And the same is true of Lori Skiles at Paddle Board Oregon, and Cog Wild for mountain biking. They’ve kindly offered their tours and classes far below their list price, despite their considerable overhead (custom-made paddle boards, mountain bikes, helmets, expert guides trained in wilderness medicine with thousands of hours of experience as professional guides… again… we promise it’s worth it. : )

  • So much! New main venue, which allows large professional tents, many new presenters, we’re building in more social time so we can more fully enjoy each other’s company and create new friendships. We’ve got plans in the works for a fun fest fam event in the evening on Friday, and on Sunday the last day of the fest, we’ll open the new Conscious Living Marketplace with a fest party — think DJ, food trucks, bevvies, awesome vendors, slacklining, and more. We’ll also be creating a moderated Facebook group so our passholder can connect, plan meet-ups, and maybe share rides. We’ve also expanded adventure offerings.

  • Sorry, no. We found that attending the festival for a single day doesn’t give enough of a chance to experience the festival as an intensive, transformative weekend. The 3 or 4-Day passes are worth it, we promise! And we’ll be selling 2-day Saturday & Sunday only passes as well, if space is available.

  • Passes are non-refundable; however, refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis if purchased before the end of 2022. After that time, no refunds will be considered for any reason whatsoever. This is because, even if ticket holders don’t attend, the presenters, venue, and subcontractors all still have to be paid. A tremendous amount of planning is done, and most payments are made to vendors, more than six months before the festival.

However, you can sell or transfer your ticket if you’re not able to use it — just shoot us an email at hello@bendyogafestival.com to let us know. And you can always apply the face-value of your pass to next year’s festival if you’re not able to attend.

  • Sorry, no.

  • Like all mountain towns, weather can change rapidly in Bend and you should come prepared with layers for all events. All events are rain or shine!

This is even more important given how unpredictable the weather’s become due to climate change. For 2023 and beyond, we’re working hard to find venues that have a combination of lovely outdoor spaces large enough for the entire fest fam to be together, but that also have sufficient indoor spaces to provide climate-controlled comfort. Regardless, it will always be a good idea to have layers and a full range of sun protection with you. That’s just good packing!

  • In a word, yes! Dispersed camping on BLM land on the westside of Bend is readily accessible and near services. Google “dispersed camping in Bend Oregon” for some helpful YouTube videos and links.

There is no camping, however, at the venue itself.

  • We love kids, too, and are eager to support family time at the fest. Special programming for kids is under development, so your littles can have a fest experience that benefits them.

Children between the ages of 8-17 have specially discounted passes available to access programming. All sessions are family-friendly.

At the moment, however, we aren’t able to support programming for children under 8.

  • Email us at hello@bendyogafestival.com, and we will get back to you super quick!

ASKED + ANSWERED

FAQs

  • Starting Tuesday, February 28th! (And way to go on scoring a great deal on your pass!)

  • There are times set aside for this wonderful benefit on the afternoon of Thursday, June 8th! Be sure to login early and add one of these spots to your schedule. And voila! You’ve got a complimentary paddle in your future!

  • On Monday night, priority passholders will receive an email from Sched.com inviting them to login and create their schedules. Be sure to check your spam for this email on Tuesday morning! And then click to approve emails from Sched to your Priority mailbox!

  • Sched.com is an app we use as our scheduling platform – it’s got some amazing features! But no, it’s not necessary to download the app to your phone. However, you will need to login and create a profile in order to choose your sessions. Here are some of its features:

    ● Create a profile & upload a photo (or make it private!)

    ● See Presenters’ bios and search the schedule by presenter

    ● Rate your sessions in one click!

    ● Receive messages from the presenters of the sessions you choose

    ● See what sessions your friends have chosen (if their profiles are set to public)

    ● See approximately how many spots are still available in each session

  • 2-Day passes for Saturday and Sunday will go on sale this Wednesday, after priority scheduling begins. You’ll be able to see how much space is left in sessions before you buy your pass, and it’s unlikely that sessions will fill up immediately, with the exception of some adventure sessions that have only 10 or so spots due to permitting or equipment. But even with these, we can add additional sessions if there’s sufficient demand, so be sure to add yourself to any wait list. We’ll use wait list sign ups to decide whether to add more sessions. In short, no need to stress. You won’t be in a position where you’ve bought a pass but have nothing to attend. We promise!

  • Yes! We take very seriously our vision of an inclusive community where the practice of yoga is for everyone and everyBODY. We’ve taken great care in curating a schedule that will meet the needs and interests of every kind of yogi, from any walk of life. And note that several of our headliners are in their 50s and beyond — inspiring us all to keep active and live our best lives, while accepting and loving ourselves as we are now. To find the sessions that are right for you, be sure to read the session descriptions, and note the tags on each offering: you’ll see what kind of offering it is, as well as an indicator of the intensity level. If you’re looking for something intense, look for Intermediate/Advanced, or Vinyasa. If you’re looking for more holistic practices that require less intense energy, look for All Levels, Gentle or similar tags.

  • Yes! Challenge yourself with inversions and arm balances workshops, but also consider other ways to challenge yourself. Not so comfortable with still practices, meditation, pranayama, or more gentle offerings? Intimidated by chanting because you think you don’t have a good singing voice? Maybe there are new ways here to explore what it means to be challenged (aka, create room for growth).

  • Starting February 28th, you’ll be able to buy them in the same way you purchased your pass; they’ll be synced with Eventbrite at that time, and you’ll be able to put your add-on on your personal schedule!
